My Week: In Pictures

A lot has happened this past week -

On Monday my sister and I took IV to Maine for lunch and the Zoo.

Sissy and IV

On Wednesday I finally got in to see my Doctor about the pain I've had for over 6 months in my back. Turns out I have a separated disc and a pinched nerve. Wonderful.

IV just had to take his favorite book to JaJu's house.

JaJu (my Dad) and IV - My Dad babysat while I went to the Doctor.

Also on Wednesday - Stew and I had a little dinner date planned. This was our first time leaving IV with a babysitter (whom we know very well).

Dinner Date Ready

Thursday, IV was full of it. Go figure - Stew had a work meeting until 8:30, so I was on my own ALL DAY!

Bath time

So that's my week in iPhone pictures - Happy Friday. I'm off to the spend the day with my Mom.

Happy 15 Months, IV

IV turned 15 months yesterday - and we managed to sneak in a few photos before lunch.

IV is so funny and so smart - I know, a true mother speaking.

He's funny, so happy and is non-stop.

If he's not getting into the toilet paper roll, he's dropping a toy truck on the dogs head.

He loves trucks and cars, airplanes and helicopters. He loves to read and point to all the different animals in his books.

He still takes a morning nap around 10 until about 11:30. I put him down for quiet time/nap at 3 every day. Some days he sleeps, some days he doesn't, but that's ok.

He is still going to bed at 7:30 and waking at 6:30 or 7. I don't go get him until 7 though. Anything in the 6 o'clock hour is still too early for me.

He's whinny some days and a complete joy other days - but aren't we all?

Happy Birthday, Buddy!

Out takes:

"Hey Bud, can you give me your blanket?" Nope.

"Show me your muscles"

He took my phone...

...then I took it away.

Happy Wednesday, Friends.

Blogger 411 Link up

I'm linking up with Becky over at From Mrs. to Mama - she's one of my long time favorites...and my Moms as well! Yes, my Mom reads Becky's blog every morning when she gets into work - and some days my Mom will call me and say "Did you read From Mrs to Mama today?"

So here are the 411 questions:

1. How long have you been blogging? And what got you started on blogging? Has your blog changed?
I started blogging about 2.5 years ago - and a friend of mine sent me a pregnancy blog that she started and I was hooked. I started my own and shared it with friends and family. But from that - I've made some amazing "blog" friends.

2. Did you go to college? If so where, and what did you study? Yes. I went to New Hampshire College (Now, Southern New Hampshire University) and I studied Marketing with a minor in Advertising.

3. Where have you traveled? Aruba, Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands - yes, I'm a tropical island kind of traveler.

This is me - circa 2005 in the Dominican. Eeeek!

4. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy? my first "major" purchase would be a house on the Lake. But I'm sure I'd purchase a new Louie handbag and some cute TB flats.

5. What are your 3 biggest pet peeves? dog hair/drool and putting things on the stairs to go up, but never bringing them up.

6. What is your favorite movie? Hands down - Breakfast Club and Stand By Me.

7. What is your drink of choice; wine, beer, or liquor. Or Water, Soda, Tea? I'd say Captain and Diet Coke. But I love wine and beer - I guess I'm an alcoholic. kidding

8. What is something you enjoy to do when you have me time? "Me time" doesn't seem to exist anymore, but I'd say currently, laying in the sun with a new magazine, or I love a good mani/pedi.

9. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be? I'd probably go with Nordstroms - they have everything.

10. Share with us an embarrassing moment of your past? Or present. When I was in the 7th grade, my boyfriend (who was in 8th grade) came over. He used the bathroom - took my underwear out of the hamper, put them on over his jeans and walked out. Who does that? I was horrified. Kicked him to and broke up with him. What a freak!

11. What day would you love to relive again? The birth of IV. It was an amazing day!

12. If your life was turned into a movie... what actor would play you? Reese Witherspoon - not because we look alike - just because I like her.

13. What are the jobs you had in high school/college/the early years? I worked at a Pizza Place and Gas Dock in High School and Camp Counselor in college.

14. Show us a picture from high school or college. This was me in college when my girlfriends and I took my Mom to strip club. Classy!

Yes, I smoked!

And yes - I went tanning - clearly a lot.

15. If you could travel anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go? That's so tough, I'd love to see so many parts of the world. But I'm a tropical girl - I'll go with Bora Bora.

16. Show us the most current picture of you or you and your family.

17. Where do you see your life 5 years from now? In 5 years, I see myself married - with my sweet boy - IV and his little sister - running around the Lake (at our new house). A girl can dream.

A Summer Weekend

This past weekend was the epitome of a Summer Weekend.

Saturday morning we packed up our cooler and SUV and headed to the Coast of New Hampshire. We spent the day at the Rye Beach.

IV loved the water (at 62 degrees) and all of the sea gulls. I actually had to carry him off the beach - kicking and screaming because he didn't want to leave. Fun times - not the kicking and screaming, but the other part of our trip.

Saturday night - after putting IV to bed, we sat outside and watch our neighborhood fireworks - with cocktails in hand. They were NYC fireworks or anything, but they were loud and practically right in front of our house - IV NEVER work up.

Not bad, right?

And finally, on Sunday we heading to my parents pool - first thing in the morning. I just love those days. IV naps and we get to lay out, grill out and spend time together.

These are a few pictures from my iPhone.

The Fourth of July

Are you all recovering from 4th of July parties like we are?

We went over to my parents to celebrate with a lobster bake. They always out-do themselves...and there is enough food to feed 30 people...there are always 6 of us.

And for the record - yes, those are all jello shots made by my Sister and her Husband.

And if you know me - you know I love Holidays and love the fact that my sweet IV gets to wear cute outfits with Mama.

I ordered his adorable shirt from Traci over at TLCreations. If you're looking for cute shirts, tutus, pillowcase dresses for girls and headbands...go become a fan of her Facebook page or check out her blog. She has great stuff and awesome prices!
