Happy Hump Day!
This week is going well for me/us. We sold the Silverado on Monday, I got a great phone call yesterday (tell you more about that in a later post). I'm super stoked about it. I know, I'm a tease...
♪♪♪♪ "Who me? A tease? Brother, please. You're just having bad memories." ♪♪♪♪
Sorry for my Salt N Pepa song! Today, is the half way point through the work week ... which Stew is really enjoying his new jobby-job and I mine is - well, slow to say the least, but that gives me the time to BLOG!
Tomorrow, Stew and I are going to Lake Winnipesaukee for a boat ride and dinner with the Owner from Manchester Hose. (which Manchester Hose means nothing to all of you, I'm sure. But it's a company that Stew deals with). We were actually married up at the lake ...
here. There is this amazing restaurant on the lake and I'm hoping that's where we end up! The Boat House Salad is to die for.
This weekend we have a BBQ at the
Cowboys house. That will be a good time.
I love the Cowboy!
I'm hoping we'll have "lay-out" weather on Sunday - so we can get in some pool time. We'll see.
On a completely different note, I was driving to work today - listening to my usual morning radio station. They were talking about a product called "Healthy Trim". I guess it's a diet supplement of sorts. Well, they were promoting a contest - who can lose the most weight by a certain date ... using this product. A woman called in saying she's hoping to lose 100 lbs. by her wedding in January (seems a bit aggressive). Anyways, she said that she's a "Serial Dieter" - which made me laugh and think. The phrase "
Serial Dieter" or "
Serial Dater", or SERIAL ANYTHING brings me back to my childhood. Growing up my Mom worked for the School District, so she was home with us almost all of the time that we were home, expect for two weeks after school got out in the summer. My sister and I would stay home during those two weeks...patiently waiting to pack up the car and move to our lake house as soon as my Mom was done working for the summer. Well...my older sister told me a story during this time...about a SERIAL KILLER. She told me that there was a SERIAL KILLER on the loose in our neighborhood. He would go after small, blonde girls, like myself who (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) ------- ate CEREAL for breakfast. Yeah, a
CEREAL KILLER. Real nice sister I have, eh? I was 7 - maybe. I didn't know the difference between
cereal and
serial. So thank you, sister! I will forever be afraid to eat my Cheerios® in the morning. Sooo...just for that, I will tell everyone in the BLOG-O-SPHERE that Stew saw you yesterday driving with two hands on the top of your steering wheel...phone in hand, carefully balanced on the top of the steering wheel ---- TEXTING WHILE DRIVING! Bad, bad, bad, Sister! THAT IS ILLEGAL and you could kill somebody.
::
Sigh :: Anyways, now I feel better. Today...while driving into work, I was "reminded' that I have a drivers side break light out.
Grrreat. I have to take it to a garage at lunch. I hate going to a garage. Remember my story about the
inspection sticker? Well, I have a feeling it's going to be worse today.
I'M WEARING A SUNDRESS! Like I want to go to a dirty garage in my sundress. "
Umm, yeah, Hi. Can you fix this?" (No I don't talk like that... but it's how it sounds in my head - ha!) I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.
And I'll leave you with this...a picture from our Winter Trip to ARUBA. This is my sister and I...seeing I called her out about TWD (Texting while driving). Love ya, KDC.
Have a great rest of the week!!!
